RENDER EXTERNAL TRIM FIXING

Render Trims should be fixed in accordance with the system or render manufacturer’s directions which is usually adhering the trims with the applicable render compound or cement based construction adhesive (Patch Render) making sure the cement based adhesive fully covers the substrate & the trim to obtain complete adhesion between the two surfaces.

REVEAL & SILL TRIM FIXING

Fix in accordance to the system or compound manufacturer’s recommendations making sure the cement based adhesive (Patch Render) fully covers the substrate & the trim to obtain complete adhesion between the two surfaces.

SEALING BETWEEN TRIMS & WINDOWS / SGD

Render Reveal & Sill Trims should be wiped clean using a dry clean cloth and flashed with an acetone cleaner (e.g Bostik 5077or Sika-Cleaner 205) and sealed between the trim and the framing with Bostik Seal & Flex, Sikaflex-521 UV or Fixseal MSP15 (Metholated Spirits can be used as a cleaner for Fixseal MSP15only).

STORING OF TRIMS

Plaster Trims should be stored flat and below 25°C and free from dust and contamination.

All trims and surfaces must be free from dust and contaminates.

Note: Some Non render based adhesives may contain Zylene solvents which can soften PVC if applied unevenly.

Using the PT Trim Applicator makes it easy to put angles on fast and straight.

Using a quality patch render makes a perfect bond between th eangle and the substrate.
